"As a relatively new manager, I really enjoyed connecting with other “rising professionals” in higher education throughout the country. While I have strong relationships and connections within my own institution, it was a breath of fresh air to hear the experiences and perspectives from peers at other colleges and universities...Together we talked through problems and brainstormed solutions. Over the course of the program I always looked forward to our meetings and checking-in with my new virtual colleagues."

Questionnaire and interview:
We want to be sure this is the right development opportunity at the right time for each participant. Upon registering, CCC will reach out to participants to have them complete a questionnaire about their experience and goals. They will then be contacted for a 30-minute interview with the facilitator.
The purpose of this conversation is to:
-- Set expectations for participation
-- Understand the participant's goals and motivation for participating in Rising Professionals at this time
-- Answer any questions the participant has about the program
Rising Professionals features:
"The most impactful thing for me was the content of the work we covered. So many of the items we read and discussed were not only thought provoking but practical and useful immediately. A close second would be the one-on-one coaching followed by the triad coaching. The one-on-one was helpful for me to understand my leadership style, identify my goals as a leader, and determine the path to achieving them."
Susan Leighton, Director Academic Programs, Villanova University
“The peer coaching has changed the way I ask questions and frame language in meetings and with my team in a way that is more open ended. I allow others to come to their own conclusions and include them in a collaborative process.”
