What is CCC Coaching?
CCC coaching is a process of learning, discovery and transformation in support of your goals. Our tailored process starts with defining where you want to be--as a leader, manager or key contributor-- and what you want to create. Together we then forge a path to get you there.
CCC coaching is deeply grounded in higher ed. With years of experience both on-staff and as external consultants to dozens of institutions, we have a keen understanding of the culture of higher ed and the unique challenges facing academic and administrative leaders. CCC coaching is practical. We bring a rich repertoire of leadership and management tools, resources, methods and approaches. We use them to support you in designing and implementing new practices, skills, and habits that will help you achieve your goals. CCC coaching is holistic. We recognize that the pace and stress of work can negatively affect your ability to think and act strategically. We help you create the mental and physical states necessary to bring your best self to your work. CCC coaching is authentic. We respect your struggles and aspirations and will honor you with compassion and honest feedback. CCC coaching is convenient. We provide coaching face-to-face, by phone, or by video conferencing, based on what is most appropriate for your situation. |
Francine is insightful, attentive, and highly-skilled and her approach has increased my ability as an executive leader to be more analytical, thoughtful, and strategic. Our sessions have been a great balance of inquiry, practical and applicable steps to promote impactful leadership. My capacity to think more critically and creatively has increased significantly, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve in my role with her as a guide and coach throughout this process.

Leadership coaching
Leadership coaching will give you a broader and deeper understanding of your current situation and a way to test new approaches to create desired change. Leadership coaching begins with gathering and synthesizing relevant feedback and developing a plan of action. Experimenting with new leadership tools and strategies will provide on-going feedback to focus you toward your goals.
Judith is a fantastic coach and would highly recommend her. She is challenging, but kind. Inquisitive and thoughtful. Has a depth of experience to draw upon and seems genuinely interested in the success of her clients. I learned a lot about myself from working with her.

Transition coaching
Transition coaching will help you think strategically about how you enter the new situation, allowing you to avoid common traps and setting the stage for long-term success. Transition coaching focuses on self-assessment, cultural assessment and planning. It concludes with the development of an action plan that will support your development through your first year of the new position.
My coaching sessions with Kande McDonald were far-ranging, at times dealing with immediate fires, at other times broadening to larger questions of building confidence, leadership strategies, communication, and personality types. The sessions were, in essence, a series of master-classes. When I first started the coaching, I was lost at sea. At first, the coaching sessions were a life preserver. Over time, as my skills grew, the life preserver became a rowboat and is now a study sailing ship. While the sessions are over, I feel confident in my abilities to continue to hone my leadership skills with the tools that I have gained, turning in time my study sailing ship into a vessel capable of navigating all waters.

Team Coaching |

|
Group coaching provides you with a diversity of perspectives from a cohort of peers from different institutions or units. Coaching groups provide a safe space to test new practices, gain constructive feedback and increase accountability for change efforts. Individuals within the group receive coaching on their own challenges and learn from others as they work through similar issues.

For on-going teams, we create a learning environment that provides access to the group’s collective wisdom. Through skillful facilitation and coaching, we lower the unintentional group barriers that prevent full use of team members’ insights, talents and energies in the service of shared goals. Engagements are co-designed with the client to address the specific objectives and challenges of the team.
