I am a behavioural scientist and executive coach with nearly 25 years of experience supporting leaders, boards, and executive teams across the public, private, nonprofit, and Indigenous sectors. A dual US-Canadian citizen, I live and work in both countries, which brings a valuable cross-border perspective and cultural adaptability to my practice. I most often work at the top of companies and organizations, in the space where governance issues and relational challenges overlap and interact, thereby helping boards and executives repair or deepen relational trust, clarify decision-making and strengthen governance practices, and align structures with values.
I draw on an unusually broad professional background — outdoor educator, wilderness guide, local government politician and union representative, commercial farmer, and business owner — to my consulting work, which grounds my approach in both systems thinking and lived experience. Over my career I’ve facilitated and moderated groups ranging from just a few to over 1,000 people, developed governance guides and training, and partnered with many types of leaders across sectors to navigate organizational complexity, policy development, and community change. Most satisfying work I find the greatest satisfaction in partnering with top leaders and teams who are ready to look beneath the surface of complex issues, structures, and relationships to uncover what is really driving outcomes. I especially enjoy helping Board Chairs and CEOs strengthen their partnership, supporting executives to build cohesive and high-trust teams, and guiding organizations to transform conflict into collaboration. I thrive in moments when leaders move from fragmentation and reactivity to clarity, alignment, and generative collaboration. Frequently used theories and tools
